Hello. I wanted to make an Octave+Gnuplot installer using fink and Apple's PackageMaker, and noticed that Gnuplot now depended on X11. If I remember correctly, it didn't in 3.8h(?) days.
Is there some reason for this? Since my plan was to use AquaTerm (rater than X11), I newly installed fink and, as two experiments, 1) changed gnuplot-3.8i.0-6.info and 'ran fink install' 2) ran 'apt-get install' and 'dpkg -r --force-depends system-xfree86' (because my OS X box has Apple's X11). Octave/Gnuplot seemed to work fine in both experiments, hence my question above. gxs --- Many many thanks to all Fink developers for making my OS X life much better off. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program.
