I just installed fink on a new system running OsX 10.2.8 and ran into a strange problem. Everytime I launch a terminal window, the command '/sw/bin/pathsetup.command; exit' is run, tells me that fink is installed ok and exits my terminal window. Thus, I can't ever get a terminal window up since it always calls an exit command. This command is specified in a .cshrc file and a .tcshrc file in my home directory. Deleting or commenting out the offending lines from both files does no good because they are added again when I launch a new terminal window and the same scenario ensues. I have found deleting both files does no good because they are simply recreated when I launch a new terminal window.
Uninstalling (i.e. deleting everything from the /sw/ directory did no good because it then simply states it can't find the pathsetup.command and exits. How do I get rid of this command so I can have a terminal window again? Mike ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program.
