It's got nothing to do with freetype2, KDE links against x11's freetype because of conflicts.

The problem is that XFree86 4.3.x's libfreetype is missing some symbols that were in 4.2.x's because of a backwards-compatibility bug.

It should be fixed if you rebuild qt3... If you're running unstable, just do a "fink selfupdate" and then "fink install qt3"; if you're running stable you should wait an hour or two for the mirrors to sync and then update, or copy the qt3 3.2.2-2 info file from unstable to your local tree and upgrade.
