Hello, I'm in the process of setting up my new mac
(am a convert and just got the machine day before yesterday).
I just set up X and fink last night. I got the impression that
Apple's X11 is actually just XFree86 4.3 w/ some patches and
these patches are being incorporated into 4.4 (i.e. they
gave all the changes back). i.e. Apple's XServer is less
analagous to Metro X versus XFree(86) but more analagous
to safari versus konqueror. Is this actually incorrect?

        best,
