Which sources did you use? In fink kile is only avaible in the 10.2-gcc3.3 tree and this tree currently isn't avaible if you are running Mac OS X 10.3 or better it shouldn't. Take a look at your fink.conf especially the line Distribution. It should be set to 10.3 and not to 10.2-gcc3.3 in order to work correct under Mac OS X 10.3.2. > it is necessary to specify where qt is located. so the > configure has to look like this: > > $ ./configure --with-qt-dir=/sw/share/qt3 > --with-qt-includes=/sw/include/qt > --with-qt-libraries=/sw/lib --prefix=/sw If you haven't got the sources from fink then yes, it is an option to say the configure script where it can find the qt stuff. You can also take a look in the faq point 7.3 <http://fink.sourceforge.net/faq/usage-general.php#compile-myself> > in my desperation i tried to look for the kile package > which should exist in unstable. but i cant find it... Yes it exists in unstable but not in the 10.3 tree which is the supported tree for Mac OS X 10.3. You can, if you know what you do, get the info file out of the cvs and copy this file to your local/main folder and then "fink install kile" but this is not trivial and not supported. You do this at your own risk. > where to go from here? re-install qt with thread > support or is there a binary of kile somewhere. Try a sudo apt-get install kile.
