[Fink-beginners] Fink 0.6.2 installed fine, but Commander displays only 50 packages ...

of which 36 are already "installed" and "current".  However, despite my 
best efforts (e.g., reviewing the manual+website FAQs and the first 10+ 
pages of fink-beginners), I can't seem to coerce Commander into 
"finding" the MANY other available packages (and, in particular, the 
CURL package in the NET section that I want to use with my PHP4 release 
4.3.4!).  Note: I made sure that I ran Scanpackages as was recommended 
by someone in the fink-beginners.  Desperate, I ran dselect update from 
the Terminal (I'm running OS X 10.2.8 on my G4 PB), but it only barfed, 
asserting that ...

          /sw/lib/dpkg/methods/apt/update: apt-config: command not found

          update available list script returned error exit status 127.
          Press <enter> to continue.
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong (clearly it must be me or there 
wouldn't be that many Fink Fans around!)?
