So If I read this right, say I install a KDE app ( or gnome ) for that matter, the window in which the app runs displays the window manger of the particular app, but when I close it, I am back to aqua?? Wow, if so, I think I might try this..!! :)

Not quite--Gnome is a desktop for X11, and to switch to Aqua you just switch applications.
