I can't seem to get the current version of Ethereal installed.
I installed the fink binary (0.6.2) on my 10.3.2 system. I then ran
Fink Commander (I'm still more comfortable with the GUI), and FC
reports that version 0.9.14 is available to install from source. I
installed it, but noticed that it is not the current version. There
is an unstable build listed on the website under the package listing
for ethereal, and it is the 0.10.2 version I am looking for. I have
tried opening up the FC preferences and telling it to list both
unstable and crypto packages, but the 0.10.2 version still doesn't
show up as an option to install. How do I install this newer unstable
version?
BTW, I have noticed this with other apps as well, like nmap (FC only
shows version 3, current unstable version is 3.48).
Any help?
Also, will I have to install GTK 2, or does the standard GTK that is
installed as a dependancy work with these new versions?
This is my first post, so if I should be posting this on fink-users,
please let me know.
Eric
