Thanks, that helped!
Now everything is up to date!
One final quick question.
Can I install GTK+2 and recompile programs such as ethereal or nmap to use GTK2 instead of 1.2? Or is this not possible?
Thanks for all your help.

Alexander,
I tried running "Source->Selfupdate" in Fink Commander, and it prompts me with the following:
fink needs you to choose a SelfUpdateMethod.
(1) rsync
(2) cvs
(3) Stick to point releases
Choose an update method [1]
First off, which method should I select?
<AKH> rsync is the preferred method.
Second, I can't seem to select any method. Fink didn't prompt me to type in my choice in a seperate window like it normally does, and I cant find any way to input my selection.
Any ideas?
<AKH> You mean Fink Commander, of course. Use Tools->Interact with Fink to call up a window.

I can't seem to get the current version of Ethereal installed.
I installed the fink binary (0.6.2) on my 10.3.2 system. I then ran Fink Commander (I'm still more comfortable with the GUI), and FC reports that version 0.9.14 is available to install from source. I installed it, but noticed that it is not the current version. There is an unstable build listed on the website under the package listing for ethereal, and it is the 0.10.2 version I am looking for. I have tried opening up the FC preferences and telling it to list both unstable and crypto packages, but the 0.10.2 version still doesn't show up as an option to install. How do I install this newer unstable version?
BTW, I have noticed this with other apps as well, like nmap (FC only shows version 3, current unstable version is 3.48).
Any help?
Run a selfupdate (e.g. "Source->Selfupdate" in Fink Commander) after you enable the unstable tree.
Also, will I have to install GTK 2, or does the standard GTK that is installed as a dependancy work with these new versions?
This is my first post, so if I should be posting this on fink-users, please let me know.
