The easy way:
Open X11. Open an X11 terminal. type
xfig
at the prompt. Or in an OSX terminal you can run
open-x11 xfig -- Alexander Hansen Fink Documentarian [Day Job] Levitated Dipole Experiment http://www.psfc.mit.edu/LDX
