This might be a stupid question (sorry, I'm new to the list), but how did you set your login shell? Terminal has two options that tell is what program to run: one uses the shell from /usr/bin/login and the other is an explicit path specified by you inside Terminal's prefs. Could it be that this is set incorrectly?
