Yes, I saw that. Fink Commander tells me I have the latest fink-mirrors installed. When I try "fink reinstall fink" from the command line, I get this error: "Failed. file download failed for fink-0.18.4.tar of package fink-0.18.4.1"



That's because it's way out of date, cf. http://fink.sourceforge.net/pdb/package.php/fink-mirrors. You may have the latest version available via binaries, but that wasn't updated for this purpose.

You haven't run a "Source->Selfupdate-rsync" ever, I guess, so your package descriptions for source operations are outdated. Either do that or follow the instructions given under "if you don't have the Developer Tools installed" in the same FAQ entry above."
