Can't resolve dependency "fink (>= 0.28.0)" for package
"gettext-tools-0.14.5-4" (no matching packages/versions found)
Exiting with failure.
Any ideas?
That'd be a problem. What do you get from "fink --version" ?
The result is:
Package manager version: 0.27.16
Distribution version: 0.9.0.rsync i386
That looks OK. Try "fink update fink" first.
It gave the response:
Information about 3951 packages read in 1 seconds.
No packages to install.
hmm...try a "fink selfupdate-cvs".
I ran it and it did all sorts of stuff (too much to list) and then I
ran update all, but it gave the same error as with rsync. However, it
did have 10.4 in a lot of places. So I tried to run it again, and it
didn't get very far before hanging up. The result the second time was:
Please note: the command 'fink selfupdate' should be used for routine
updating; you only need to use 'fink selfupdate-cvs' or 'fink
selfupdate-rsync' if you are changing your update method.
I will now run the cvs command to retrieve the latest package
descriptions.
After that, the core packages will be updated right away; you should
then
update the other packages using commands like 'fink update-all'.
cvs -q -z3 update -d -P -l
? TIMESTAMP
cvs -q -z3 update -d -P 10.4
and then I terminated it. Does this seem correct?
