I did the "fink rebuild fontconfig2-dev" and the did fink install
cairo and this is the output (same as previous times I believe):

This only happens on the intel machine. I have a iBook running
basically the same thing and it is has no issues. The iBook
installation of Fink is at least a year old. The intel version is
only a few weeks old. A few week ago Fink was running fine, but the I
had to reinstall OS X, and since the reinstall I have been having
issues with Fink. Other than that, everything has been wonderful.
Try rebuilding fontconfig2-dev (which also rebuilds
fontconfig2-shlibs). If that doesn't work, then we can search on your
system to find what package is pointing to the old fontconfig2 and the
rebuild that.
