You don't double click on the .info files. These are just plain text files that contain the instructions for building the package. You use either the 'fink' command from the terminal or a graphical frontend (like Fink Commander) to install the package. To get gimp installed, you either need to type the following in Terminal: fink install gimp2 <-- note the 2 to get the latest version or use Fink Commander to install it (I don't use Fink Commander, so can't provide the exact menu/command to use). > -if I want to do a self-update I get: /n/nERROR: Self-repair failed. If you installed fink as a 64bit program, then g77 won't be available to you at all.
