So, 
-I selected the gimp and used Source->install. However, nothing happened (only 
a short beep-sound) and I got the same error message as before.
-Yes, I am running Fink Commander from it's disk image (it's on the desktop). 
Is that right or wrong?
-If I want to do it using the terminal, how does it work? I went in my Download 
folder (that's where I saved fink at (i think)) and then typed 'cd 
fink-0.29.16' to go in that folder. And there I wrote "fink selfupdate-rsync", 
but it didn't work; it said: 
daniels-MacBook-Pro:fink-0.29.16 daniel$ fink selfupdate-rsync
-bash: fink: command not found
what did I do wrong here?

Hope I'm not a lost cause.
