Normally, don't use "sudo" before "fink".

My guess is that the cause is mentioned in what you snipped.

Typically, buildlock issues are due to inconsistencies in the installed
package database file ( /sw/var/lib/dpkg/status ), and the offending
line of that gets reported (actually, what is reported is usually a
little off of the real line).

If such a thing is present in your output, then edit
/sw/var/lib/dpkg/status as a superuser, go to the line your error
mentions, and change the nearest (probably a buildlock-*) package's
Status line from

Status: purge ok installed

to

Status:  purge ok not-installed

Otherwise, we'll need to see more of your output.
