As for gaim, look at http://fink.sourceforge.net/pdb/package.php/gaim - I am at 0.74. However, I can't put that to stable, since I never got any feedback on it. However you can still use it (our FAQ explains how to use packages from unstable), then if it works fine, give me feedback, so that I can move it to "stable".
With versions < 0.71 MSN does not work because MS changed the protocol back middle of October.
Yeah. It won't work with the gaim package, though. You'll have to use gaim-ssl for that.
