it's not an issue for me but it's a lot clearer when the file finally appears 
in Fink IMHO. say I upload a .info on Monday and revise it on Tuesday. In the 
meantime it may have been validated based on the original and the first 
revision posted... the only way for me to be sure which revision was considered 
is to scrutinize the details in Fink.

of course I know I should preferably submit files that are final but in 
practice it's not necessarily possible, especially right now as I'm still 
unfamiliar with all the details and finding new ways to eliminate redundancy 
etc. OTOH if the person the package analysis is assigned to automatically gets 
notified of changes in the tracker it becomes somewhat a moot point.
