If you do this, it should work:

1) Use "fink configure" to set your proxy

2) Make sure you source in /sw/bin/init.csh from your .cshrc file 
(you should have this normally anyway)

3) Open a new terminal, to have the changes being effective.


That should work in most cases. If your problems perstis, come back 
to us, but this time with proper information (like what version of 
Fink you use etc.)
