I have esound-bin (from unstable).

[ldx3:~] hansen% fink list esound-bin

 i esound-bin 0.2.23-4 Enlightened Sound Daemon

This looks like the new split (-bin, -shlibs, etc) build feature of fink
0.9.9. Try doing 'fink install esound-bin' (if you aren't set up for
unstable by default the only .info and .patch files are
/sw/fink/dists/unstable/main/finkinfo/sound/esound-0.2.23-4.info and
/sw/fink/dists/unstable/main/finkinfo/sound/esound-0.2.23-4.patch )

You should be able to build--I tried a 'rebuild esound-bin' as I composed
this.
