I'd like to see the list that you have so far.  

Fink, itself, will not compile with gcc3.1.  fink selfupdate results in the
following on my system:

Building program /sw/src/apt-0.5.4-2/apt-0.5.4/bin/apt-cache
ld: Undefined symbols:
__ZTIN13pkgSrcRecords6ParserE
__ZTI9pkgSystem

Failed: compiling apt-0.5.4-2 failed
