Well, that depends on what you mean by "Fink and the Apr Dev Tools"... I've been running gcc2 from the Apr Dev Tools with absolutely no problems. I've attempted building qt3 with the GCC 3.1 from the April dev tools and if I recall correctly, it bombs with some kind of bus error or internal compiler error; I don't remember the specifics. As I don't have a seed key, I can't test on the Jaguar beta, either, although I'd love to get KDE building on it... =) I think the biggest problem is just that not enough packagers are trying their packages out yet with gcc3. As time goes on it'll get better, but for now expect a bumpy road with an unsupported beta release of the compiler. -- Ben Reed a.k.a.
