Oroborus is a lightweight window manager
oroborOSX is a modification of oroborus to make it into a proper mac
application-- mac menu bar, and the addition of some tweaks -- selection
of X11 windows from dock, etc. It's my favorite window manager for
rootless sessions. (I rarely, if ever, use rooted)

You can get interleaved windows, but this only works with a patched
version of XDarwin.app. Fink likes to update xfree86-rootless, so if
you're not careful, you can accidentally remove this capability.
