My report was not vague, but I'll repeat it: Update to fink-10.2 experimental mode Modified /sw/etc/fink.conf to add unstable/main & unstable/crypto to the tree % fink selfupdate-cvs % fink selfupdate At that point I believe the fink script asked me which of two versions of rootless-xfree86 I wanted to install, among many other choices between packages. % fink list xfree says that system-xfree86 4.1-5 is installed. You're right that I have little experience with package installers. I'm willing to learn.
