Hi,

Ok, so I installed all the packages that postgresql depends on and that
don't require X11. Here's the list of dependencies I'm left with:

postgresql -> daemonic libxml2 libxml2-bin libxml2-shlibs
postgresql-shlibs system-xfree86 tcltk tcltk-dev tcltk-shlibs
daemonic ->  libxml2 libxml2-bin libxml2-shlibs system-xfree86
tcltk-dev tcltk-shlibs
libxml2 -> libxml2-bin libxml2-shlibs system-xfree86 tcltk-dev
tcltk-shlibs
libxml2-bin -> libxml2-shlibs system-xfree86 tcltk-dev tcltk-shlibs
libxml2-shlibs -> system-xfree86 tcltk-dev tcltk-shlibs
tcltk-dev -> system-xfree86 tcltk-shlibs
tcltk-shlibs -> system-xfree86

As Peter suggested, the dependency on X11 seems to come from tcltk. But
why does libxml2 depend on tcltk?

Thanks for any help,
-Otto.

ps: Is there any way to automatically generate a dependency tree?
