Thanks. I'm sure that I am missing some obvious thing. I followed the upgrade instructions, which seemed straightforward, and that apparently fixed all the packages I've played with so far except qcad. (Which is very impressive, by the way. I've become completely dependent on fink both at work and at home, and was prepared for a rocky transition after the 10.2 update but already I can use essentially everything. Hats off to the Fink team!)
What is qt2? Odd, I do not see any particular mention of qt2 in the upgrade instructions. Did I miss something somewhere? Ah, I see that you're talking of a package: % fink list qt2 Information about 1475 packages read in 1 seconds. i qt2 2.3.2-3 Cross-Platform GUI application framework i qt2-shlibs 2.3.2-3 Shared libraries for the QT application f... Ah, wait a minute... maybe I am supposed to substitute qt3?? Hmmm... just tried that, didn't change anything. For that matter, fink doesn't object to installing or removing qt2 or qt3, so does qcad really depend on qt? You mention watching qcad build; but the aforementioned crash and brief litany of errors occurs only when I try to run qcad. A few random details: Ti PB G4 running 10.2.1. I ran selfupdate-cvs and update-all again this eve; some db3 stuff updated & built fine; no effect on qcad. Also just tried fink reinstall of both qt2 and qcad.
