I changed the subject as this does not address the original query.
There are several things that depend on mozilla, namely:
$ find /sw/fink/dists -name "*.info" | xargs egrep -l "\(Build\)\?Depends:.*mozilla"
/sw/fink/dists/stable/crypto/finkinfo/kdebindings3-3.0.2-1.info
/sw/fink/dists/unstable/crypto/finkinfo/galeon-1.2.5-1.info
/sw/fink/dists/unstable/crypto/finkinfo/kdebindings3-3.0.2-1.info
/sw/fink/dists/unstable/main/finkinfo/gnome/nautilus-1.0.6-2.info
/sw/fink/dists/unstable/main/finkinfo/web/galeon-1.2.0-2.info
And many more things depend on those.
Now this would lead me to ask: is it possible to install packages that depend on mozilla to refer
to the Mac OS X version instead of the fink version (which is an X11 app) ? Even if so, this might not
be desirable; I'm not sure it's wise to mix dependencies between fink- and non-fink-installed packages.
Another Q: Why would something like kdebindings depend on mozilla? Is it using just a specific library,
not the entire application? If so, is it possible to install just that library?
I remember several months ago there have been long threads about mozilla. I haven't perused them
myself (I hope not to unless I really must!) so I hope I'm not rehashing them.

It occurs to me to try to install mozilla-1.0 instead, but I can't figure out how since my fink is unaware of that package.
I use Fink for things I can't get as easily any other way, like IceWM and rxvt and command line vim.
