Inside pango1-xft2.info there is only a dependence on "X11" (among other packages), nothing more specifically xfree86 that might demand I install xfree86.
There's also a dependency on "xft2" which is a virtual package provided by all xfree86 4.3 packages in the fink tree.
If you really have xfree86 4.3 installed, you need to force-remove your system-xfree86 packages and run 'fink index' and all will be fine.
