I belong to the people to who fink keeps asking to install Xfree86 while the Apple X11 is installed. I tried all the procedures recommended on the Fink FAQ and on this list (like removing all X11 and Xfree's, reinstalling, install first X11 then the SDK, then SDK before X11 etc.) nothing helps.system-xfree86 is a virtual package, which gets installed if your X11 installation is correct.
After the last time I tried this I noticed that Fink does not find any more the package system-xfree. I tried via command line, with fink commander, no system-xfree86 around any more.
Is there a workaround for this ? Will there be a successor package to the system-xfree86 ?

To figure out what's going on, download the following script:
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/costabel/fink-x11-debug
Then run it in a terminal from wherever you downloaded it:
perl fink-x11-debug
Then post the results to the list.
