 Dear all,

to make xmms work. So I've installed the 1.2.8-1 on my powerbook

with 10.3.2, after removing ~/.xmms directory. Something work better
 the
previous installation because I can load files without problem, but
 when I
try to play it xmms returns an error: oss_open(): Failed to open audio
 device /dev/dsp: NO such file
And that's true there's no /dev/dsp no /dev/audio nothing similar to an
 audio device..
 Why this??

<AKH> Those are Linux audio device entries--that's very odd.

Hello,
It is sometimes difficult to precisely decide what was the exact solution to a
problem because I have done many different things at the same time.
Another thing that you might try is to first force-remove xmms again and
all related directories (like ~/.xmms) and then (re)build esound, esound-bin,
esound-shlibs and esound-common prior (!) to building xmms
again. This might as well be crucial. Let us know if that is successful or not.
