I just had a little bit of success to get SOME bold fonts. In the
Firefox font panel, there was no specific font chosen for serif,
sans-serif, or monospace. When I changed the serif font to "Century
Schoolbook", I started getting bold fonts.
I've got what seems to be a similar list of packages to Mich�le, and I
don't get bold text in either Mozilla or Firefox either.
Mich�le - what does your .xinitrc look like?
