Hi, fellow nervous Fink users & developers,

Now that Steve has "made his mark" and scared the bejesus out of the userbase,
new code is beginning to percolate from the Apple SkunkWorks. Case in point,
XCode Tools 2.1 which comes with (besides all the Universal Binaries
yada-yada), "an updated version of gcc 4.0" that promises oodles of wonderful
things...

For those of us who are testbenching Tiger now, before putting it into our main
HD, have always used source-based Fink and are willing to wipe the slate and
reinstall Fink from scratch, should we use the default XCode 2 that comes with
the Tiger DVD or should we download and use 2.1 instead?

For completeness sake, does this apply to binary users as well or are they
exempted from installing XCode?
