Sounds like a normal X11 app to me, any platform

I'm pretty sure I've seen posts about this on the list, but after
searching the archives I can't find anything that seems to relate to my
problem. Worse is, I have a vague memory about haveing had the same
problem with OOo 0.9 something and OSX 10.1 and managed to resolve it.

Ever since I upgraded my OS to 10.4 and after that re-installed fink
from scratch I have had problems with OpenOffice. The entire GUI looks
just bad and no fonts, not even the GUI font is even close to readable.

The problem seems to be described here:
http://www.openoffice.org/FAQs/fontguide.html#8
but the solution offered there does not make any difference for me. It probably has to do with X11 (I'm using Apple's) since the issue was resolved when
I installed XTools and started OOo from there. XTools however, was
really slow compared to Apple's X11.

Any hints would be greatly appreciated.

Fink 0.24.10, Distribution version: 0.8.0.cvs
OSX 10.4.4
OOo 2.0.0-22
On a PB G4 1.67GHz (On my other machine with the exact same setup
everything works fine...).
