It's possible that you're missing a file from X11User.pkg that doesn't cause a runtime problem. I didn't think Apple typically updated the X11SDK with newer XCode verisions but maybe they did. You'd need to try an X11SDK from a newer XCode than what came on your machine, like that from XCode 1.5. -- Alexander K.
