Wrong guess. Everything in /usr/local is supplied by yourself.
Please read FAQ item#6.9 "I've heard that libraries and headers 
installed under /usr/local sometimes cause build problems for Fink. Is 
this true?" at

In short: Start again while moving /usr/local out of the way.
