Here is what I get: -bash3.2 rmiles $fink install texlive-texmf Password: Information about 10258 packages read in 2 seconds. The following package will be installed or updated: texlive-texmf Reading buildlock packages... Could not resolve inconsistent dependencies!
Fink isn't sure how to install the above packages safely. You may be able to fix things by running: fink scanpackages sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install texlive-texmf=0.20100722-5 Failed: Fink::SysState: Could not resolve inconsistent dependencies Richard Miles richard.mile...@gmail.com On May 22, 2011, at 12:19 PM, Alexander Hansen wrote: > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA1 > > On 5/22/11 2:21 PM, Richard Miles wrote: >> Here is what I get when I do what you suggested: >> $fink rebuild texlive-texmf >> Information about 10258 packages read in 2 seconds. >> The following package will be rebuilt: >> texlive-texmf >> Setting runtime build-lock... >> dpkg-deb -b >> /sw32/src/fink.build/root-fink-buildlock-texlive-texmf-0.20100722-5 >> /sw32/src/fink.build >> dpkg-deb: building package `fink-buildlock-texlive-texmf-0.20100722-5' in >> `/sw32/src/fink.build/fink-buildlock-texlive-texmf-0.20100722-5_2011.05.22-10.51.53_darwin-i386.deb'. >> Installing build-lock package... >> /sw32/bin/dpkg-lockwait -i >> /sw32/src/fink.build/fink-buildlock-texlive-texmf-0.20100722-5_2011.05.22-10.51.53_darwin-i386.deb >> Selecting previously deselected package >> fink-buildlock-texlive-texmf-0.20100722-5. >> (Reading database ... >> dpkg: serious warning: files list file for package `texlive-texmf' missing, >> assuming package has no files currently installed. >> 328711 files and directories currently installed.) > > The above is expected, because dpkg is going to warn about this until > there's one installed with a proper files list file. > >> Unpacking fink-buildlock-texlive-texmf-0.20100722-5 (from >> .../fink-buildlock-texlive-texmf-0.20100722-5_2011.05.22-10.51.53_darwin-i386.deb) >> ... >> Setting up fink-buildlock-texlive-texmf-0.20100722-5 (2011.05.22-10.51.53) >> ... >> >> cp /sw32/src/texlive-0.20100722-texmf-delpdf.tar.xz . >> xz -dc texlive-0.20100722-texmf-delpdf.tar.xz | tar xf -
