Yes, I remembered that previously I had a disk space problem, so I had cleaned up the disk and had finally 3.5 GB of free disk space on that volume. It was enough to build gcc47 then. The two DEB packages take less than 100 MB. I have now removed the whole Fink build directory tree, which can be restored from a backup. Free disk space is over 4.0 GB. After out-packing the GCC 4.7 archive I had only 3.7 GB left. Compilation now starts… Could be I have a disk problem! After eight or nine years.
