Thank you. 
I ran 'fink self update' once again and then 'fink install kde4-buildenv', 
followed by by 'fink install media tomb'.  Configuration and compilation has 
completed cleanly. It seems that 'fink update-all' is not picking up the 
kde4-buildenv revision.
