Since the new HDF5 has a new library version, the netCDF packages would 
have to be rebuilt to use it in any case.

I've been forcing rebuilds of netCDF for HDF5 updates, though, ever 
since I saw a complaint in NCO's configuration when I had a newer HDF5 
library installed than what netCDF was built against.
