Does this work for you with the current packaging…
% bash
bash-4.3$ . /sw/etc/bash_completion
bash-4.3$ cvs -d[TAB]
…which completes…
bash-4.3$ cvs -d[space]
…then if I add
bash-4.3$ cvs -d [TAB]
…it completes..
cvs -d :pserver:anonym...@fink.cvs.sourceforge.net:2401/cvsroot/fink
If this isn't working on your machine, perhaps there is some interaction
with other setting in your .bashrc?
