Yes, there may be a nontrivial risk that the security screeners become critical of your conduct. Still, an interesting point of statute. I'd wager that there are some FAA regulations somewhere in the Code of Federal Regs that bar it, tho.


Reminds me of one Ariz. statute I found.

It defines explosives, with a proviso that the word does not apply to loaded ammunition or smokeless powder.

Then it defines firearm as a device which expels a projectile by means of an explosive.
