The installer uses InnoSetup. 

I'd recommend getting the firebird code fresh from GitHub, rather than a
source tarball. Code is tagged anyway, so you can easily switch the checkout
to a different tag if you want to travel back in time.

In the meantime, the installer is being updated for Beta 2, and it is
likely to change frequently over the next few days.
