You can chop the top with no issues, add the extra pieces for stability, even order a new header and if you worked long and hard you could put a vert top on it even, or just park it inside when it rains. I have seen a lot of mid 80 Camaro's Firebbirds that were made "TOPLESS" They were great conversation pieces, especially when ya hear someone say, Yep I had one off the showroom floor back in 86, wish I would have kept it.........
