I just had my car painted. I replaced all of the gaskets, using OER for everything but the roof rails (I had some old Soffseals for those). For the trunk, the shop adjusted the latch and striker so that the lid sat a little high at the tail panel, then adjusted it a bit over a few weeks. I still have to slam it a bit to close the lid, but it's getting better.
