How does an original motor loose it's number when it is decked? The numbers
are on the right side front of the motor at the front. If the number got
smeared from setting it on the concrete floor, I would leave it alone rather
than leave doubt by grinding and stamping.

So what does everyone think about the situation where my original engine has
lost its numbers when it was decked. It still is the original numbers matching
engine! Should I have the numbers restamped?
