First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... Bobby, what you could do is get a second set of kick panels to ad speakers to with the stock style speaker grills. Then you could also add tweeters in the Pillar moldings (again, buy a second set to modify) If you have Black interior you are set as the repro's come in black!
Here's what my install looks like: Kick panel speakers in original factory location with new repro stock grills http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i78/brettNheather/1967%20Firebird%20progress%20pix/8f5e.jpg OR - http://tinyurl.com/35mzfk Tweeters mounted in the pillar molding: http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i78/brettNheather/1967%20Firebird%20progress%20pix/2b1f.jpg OR - http://tinyurl.com/39ezng Here is a template I made of the original Factory Speaker opening: (I can send you the original image if interested) http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i78/brettNheather/Reference%20Images/917b.jpg Just another option? Brett - 67 Drop Top 455! From: "Robert Speake" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Thanks to everyone for the wiper washer nozzle and rear license plate bracket info. I have a new question. I bought a pair of Infinity 3.5-inch speakers that I'd like to install in the front of my '68 Coupe. I'd rather not hack the kick panels or the door panels. I saw a Camaro (I think it was) on Barrett-Jackson that showed the speakers embedded in the dash pad at the base of each "A" pillar. I really like that solution, but I think they used a custom dash pad, and mine is stock. Has anyone on this list solved this problem before? I converted my car from an automatic to a 4-speed, and it currently doesn't not have a console (I kind of dig the sans console look).
