Nooooooooo! Say it isn't so. I've been eyeing this setup for over a year now. Very sorry to hear! I have to ask...what is the thickness of the spacers you used? Are you using Offy-5499 or other? Also, you say "thin breather". Did you mean carb spacer? Lastly, what air cleaners are you using? I wonder if there is a low profile one that would make the set up work without cutting the hood???
