First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... I have some Richmond gears for a rearend. They are 343 ring and pinion. My understanding is that they would only fit in rearends having 308 or taller gear set up. I am wondering if the statements made were based upon the 8.2" only prior to 1971. I am wondering if my 1972 lemans has the 8.5" and will the Richmond gears fit? Bob P. </HTML>
