I went through a number of different ratio's, starting out with the 2.56
open. Finally ended up taking the rearend to a shop and has the 3:08 open
converted to a 3:55 posi. I'm in SoCal and it cost about $1200. I didn't
shop it around.

Sorry to but in here but I was thinking of putting around a 3.55 gear in
my
67 but I know nothing about gears or rearends other than I did the
revolution test to figure out my gears I have now are 2.56 open. Oh yeah
and
I want to add posi or limited slip. Basically end up redoing the whole
rearend. Any pointers out there? How much is this going to run me?

50/50 chance the 72 lemans has the 8.5. Better chance if it was a
factory V8 car.
